Area Event & Live Nation are proud to present a Fourth of July electronic music extravaganza FIRECRACKER at the famous Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday, July 3, 2009. With the summer in full swing what better way to celebrate the holiday weekend then with an all-out electronic music blowout the likes of which the city has not seen in a very long time. On Friday, July 3rd, one of Manhattans best venues explodes with FIRECRACKER with a line-up of the world’s electronic music heavyweights.

Victor Calderone may be best known for his tribal sounds, but his music delves into everything from house to techno to garage. For 20 plus years, Calderone has achieved an amazing career of successful residencies, chart-topping productions and star-studded remixes. With a cult following and underground vibe, Calderone’s music and parties continue to evolve and push the genre to new heights.

An electronic artist who defies generic boundaries, Steve Lawler’s passion for house, techno and electronica is too strong for one simple association. 17 years deep and “The King of Space” isn’t just at the top of his game, he’s pushing the boundaries of what a DJ can do.

New York disco house band Hercules & Love Affair were one of the most critically respected acts to come out of last year. Their self titled debut album was widely considered to be a re imagining of the sounds of disco and house while staying true to the music’s underground roots. With a style that is both original and retro Hercules & Love Affair will grace the dancefloor of Hammerstein Ballroom with an eclectic DJ set to be remembered. Now Andy Butler of Hercules & Love Affair jump on the Renaissance bandwagon to do the first Sidetracked compilation with both classic club tracks (90s flashback) and a H&LA exclusive entitled “I Can’t Wait.”

German electro house brothers Tiefschwarz have been providing top quality dance music for well over a decade. With countless well received productions and remixes under their belt, and consistent tour dates around the globe the Souvenir label heads are just about as respected as one can be in the scene. Keep a lookout for their latest EP Simple, Maybe on Souvenir Records.

Always the innovator, Crosstown Rebels head Damian Lazarus will be bringing his much anticipated Live show to the massive main room of Hammerstein Ballroom. Featuring decks, effects and live visuals, Damian will provide a kaleidoscope of sounds, images, and a few surprises as well.

Back in 2002, Audiofly was born. Now, years later this Anglo-Italian duo have developed into one of the hottest underground house and techno acts on the global circuit. They have managed to forge their unique sound made up of deep basslines, concise kicks, jolting riffs and atmospheric melodies to become one of the most talked about and sought after artists to come out of London in recent years.
