Singer/songwriter Fiona Apple returns to the stage after a five year hiatus. The dates come in support of her third album, 'Extraordinary Machine,' which has garnered positive reviews in Rolling Stone and other publications. Apple originally gained raves for her 1996 debut, 'Tidal,' showcasing her confessional writing and throaty vocals with a confidence beyond her years. Her second effort, 'When the Pawn...,' had Apple with producer Jon Brion crafting literate, jazzy pop that played mightily to her strengths. Though casual fans were turned off, 'When the Pawn...' only fueled her devoted fan base even more. Nickel Creek's sound is based in bluegrass and modern folk, but it is enhanced by the wide-ranging tastes and musical passions of its members. After seven successful years of touring and three award-winning recordings, members Chris Thile, Sean and Sara Watkins will take an extended break to pursue other interests at the end of this tour.
