Because they exude “terroir,” an expression of the vineyard conditions (including climate, soil, and terrain) combined with the unique characteristics of the grape and age-old traditions in winemaking.

Your host is Annie Shapero, a sommelier trained in Italy who also runs DiVino, a full- service wine events and consultation company. She’ll point out the subtle qualities to notice in each wine, as you make the remarkable connection between scent and geography.
