York University and the Faculty of Fine Arts celebrate the official opening of The Accolade Project, York?s outstanding new state-of-the-art teaching, exhibition and performance complex, with a week-long Fine Arts Festival running March 20 to 26 at its Keele St. campus. Spanning music, theatre, visual arts, dance and film, sixteen events showcase the creative talents of York?s faculty, students and alumni. The festival includes a Gala Concert with a world premiere piano concerto by David Mott inaugurating the recital hall, a staging of Timothy Findley?s Not Wanted on the Voyage, dynamic visual arts events and exhibitions, and performances by the York Dance Ensemble with new works by Holly Small, Yvonne Ng and others.
