An Illustrated Occasional film series presents a screening of the award-winning feature Tales of Hoffman, directed byrenowned filmmakers Powell and Pressburger. This eye-popping, theatrical extravaganza adapts Offenbach's opera that ties three of ETA Hoffmann's short stories to his life. This RARE screening of an uncut 16mm print will also feature an introduction by Boston Phoenix dance critic Jeffrey Gantz.
