The Festival will celebrate the occasion with short film screenings and 10-min talks by eminent personalities who are associated with the environment space in various capacities.
Mike Pandey’s film Shores of Silence: Whale Sharks in India, a landmark film which brought about major legislative changes to protect whale sharks worldwide, will be the opening film of the festival. The film won 11 international awards including The Wildscreen Panda, also known as the Green Oscar.
The festival will also showcase some of the choicest short films by other eminent filmmakers.
Speaking on pertinent environment issues would be a panel of experts in the field : Bahar Dutt, Environment Reporter, CNN IBN, Rahul Ram, Bass Guitarist, Indian Ocean, Vimlendu Jha, Executive Director, Swechha & Jatin Singh, MD, Skymet.
