Saturday, March 12, 1:00-3:00 p.m. The Venetian Dilemma. Venice is
paying a steep price to accommodate all the tourists who wish to visit
the famous city. It is beginning to resemble an Italian theme park
rather than a true urban place, making daily activities more difficult
for the residents. Probing the heart and soul of this beloved place,
this film highlights how the power of big government is pushing the
powerless to the edge. Following the Washington premiere screening,
filmmakers Carole and Richard Rifkind will engage the audience in a
discussion of the film. $5 Museum members and students; $7 nonmembers.
Registration required. For festival information, visit
