True story. Back in January 1968, 31 members of North Korean Special Unit 124 infiltrated South Korea with the mission of assassinating the President, Park Chung-hee.

"I came to slit the throat of President PARK Chung-hee!" Was what the one member of the North Korean team told a live television broadcast when asked about his mission.

A South Korean force of criminals ready to be executed or serving life sentences is created to launch a counter initiative to behead Kim Il Sung in North Korea. This Silmido force is evetually executed as reconciliation between the North and South begins in the 1970's.
