Film Screening: Typeface March 20, 2011

Typeface is a documentary focusing on the Hamilton Wood Type Museum in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, and its colllection of over one million pieces of wood type. A resurgence of interest in letterpress printing and wood type has brought the spotlight to this museum for a design community that is passioonate about the history of their craft and its function in the contemporary field. International artists meet retired craftsmen at the musuem and together navigate the convergence of modern design and traditional letterpress printing technique, in this small midwestern town.
