We've already entered into the "microchip society" with RFID chips contained in new passports. These chips are already in many consumer products with a broader range of implementation in the works. There are chips for our pets. Now the plot thickens. The National ID Act is scheduled to go into effect in May of 2008. Initially, undocumented immigrants will get ID cards with microchips. However, it appears that the goal is to have all driver's licences equipped with these chips.

Come see "One Nation Under Siege", a film that looks deeply into the Orwellian microchipped future we'll be living in. Although as many as 32 states have already passed resolutions refusing to cooperate with the National ID Act, New York has done nothing. We've only got a few months to mobilize widespread opposition to this attack on our privacy in the name of a concocted war on terror. Therefore, this is one of the most timely events to be held this year. We either act now or suffer the consequences of full-fledged surveillance which will include our private information and follow us wherever we go.
