Independent America- The Search for Mom & Pop - a documentary on Mom & Pop shops and how they are impacted by corporate encroachment across the US by husband and wife journalists Hanson Hosein and Heather Hughes. Their goal? Travel 13,000 miles through 32 states searching for "Independent America" with only 2 rules: no travelling on interstates and only doing business with Mom & Pop businesses. Is it even possible to accomplish this? Come and see in this important and timely documentary.
We are doing regular weekly film screenings with Fools Foundation on Fridays at 7 PM - and most are $5 (unless otherwise noted in advance), and will have filmmakers out from time to time.
Coming up next week: A rare chance to see "I Woke Up Early the Day I Died" - Ed Wood penned film made in 1998 by Billy Zane that is virtually unseen in the US!!
Hope to see you there!
