This classic 1947 film noir stars Humphrey Bogart as an escaped convict who enlists Lauren Bacall to help prove his innocence. This free screening is in tribute to the Golden Gate Bridge’s 75th Anniversary and the work of Joseph Strauss, the bridge’s engineer, as featured in the current exhibition California Dreaming: Jewish Life in the Bay Area from the Gold Rush to the Present.
