Film Screening: Bombon, the dog July 30, 2009

The Argentinian director of HISTORIAS MÍNIMAS returns with another modest but fantastic story set against the vast expanses of Patagonia. Juan is a middle-aged mechanic made redundant after 20 years. One day he helps a stranded motorist and is paid with a purebred Dogo Argentino named Bombón, a dog almost twice his size. It’s the start of a beautiful friendship. Aided by a trainer, Juan discovers the world of dog shows where he will reclaim his dignity and discover a new calling.

Film will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles.
