South Korean director Kim Ki-duk has garnered acclaim and controversy on the international film festival circuit with such arresting films as The Isle, Address Unknown and Coast Guard. His latest film, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...and Spring, portrays the four seasons and the stages of life entirely set on and around Jusan pond, where a tiny Buddhist monastery floats on a raft amidst an extraordinary landscape. Using Buddhist allegories and fables Kim has created an original, yet timeless story about the passage of human life. Featuring veteran actor Oh Young-soo and the director Kim Ki-duk himself. In Korean with English subtitles. A Sony Pictures Classics release.
