Canadian Jennifer Baichwal, director of the mesmerizing cult hit MANUFACTURED LANDSCAPES, delves into the mysterious lore surrounding lightning strikes through seven stories from around the globe, for an eerie meditation on chance. Novelist Paul Auster kicks off this inquiry with his narrative of an indelible incident from his youth, but the stories become progressively more strange and life-altering: true but teetering on the brink of urban legend; moving but with an edge of The Twilight Zone.
