"File Under Miscellaneous": Short Films October 29, 2010

Explore the Native American/First Nation experience, past and present, from the perspective of two provocative filmmakers. "File Under Miscellaneous" and "The Colony" by Jeff Barnaby (Mi'kmaq) are psychological thrillers exploring the trauma faced by contemporary First Nations people living in urban environments. "Survivor" by Bruce Curliss, is a short documentary chronicling the atrocities committed against the Nipmuc at Deer Island in Boston Harbor. Each film will be preceded by a short talk and there will be a forum for questions at the end. "File Under Miscellaneous" and "The Colony" are not suitable for viewers under the age of 18 without parental accompaniment.
