Fighting Illini Grilling Class/Tasting! November 13, 2010

Come join the "Grillini" for an instructional grilling class and drink specials. Learn how to grill steaks, veggies, and hamburgers. Outdoor heating lamps and inside seating will be available in case of cold weather. Yes, eating the food is part of the event deal! A party bus/taxi will be provided for groups of 10+

The Clark Bar is opening up its doors to TixMixer and Grillini for a special cooking class event.

The Barbeque and Grilling Club, or "Grillini" for short, was founded about three years ago. It was founded as a reason to gather together and have cook outs, as well as to try and get free food from the University. Originally the group was a very small and informal, but as time went on it grew into a large, but still informal group. Today the Grillini remains dedicated to our mission statement of exploring different cultures through their grilling techniques, although we never did get our free food.

Support Grillini, meet new people, have fun, play pool, watch sports, take advantage of drink specials and enjoy dinner with other TixMixers. In addition to grilling instruction by Grillini, your ticket includes veggies, chips, pickles and a hamburger. Tasting of steak is also provided. Specials include $2.75 Coronas & $2 drafts.

Event time is from 5:30-7:30. Feel free to socialize during and after the event. The Clark Bar has perhaps the best patio space for grilling and relaxing in Champaign. They also have great lounging areas and a well-placed pool table as you can see from the event pictures.
