FIGHTING AND FROLICKING: THE CIVIL WAR COMES TO MORVEN PARK:
Visit replicas of log huts built by 17th Mississippi Infantry soldiers during the Civil War, and learn of their stay at Morven Park during the winter of 1861-62. Confederate soldiers camped at Morven Park following the nearby Battle at Ball’s Bluff. previous This living history program at recreated log huts includes musket firing demonstrations, cooking over an open fire, and military drilling; Leesburg civilians and Confederate soldiers will be on hand to greet you.
