The Town Center at Levis Commons will host the fifth annual Levis Commons Fine Art Fair on Saturday, August 22 from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 23 from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The event is produced by The Guild of Artists and Artisans, of the award-winning Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair. This year's show will feature juried artist booths with specialties in jewelry, ceramics, painting, glass, photography, fiber, wood, leather, mixed media and more. Admission and parking are free.
Additional events and activities at the fair include a children’s area which will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The children’s area will host five stations, three of them culminating to a wind chime. Activities at the stations include:
Station 1: Making a design in a juice can lid – technique punched tin
Station 2: Designing a beaded/baubled hanging rope for a gonger
Station 3: Putting onto the hanging device to serve as a total wind chime
Station 4: Jewelery made from telephone wire, styrofoam peanuts and assorted colorful reusables for filler
Station 5: Industrial/construction foam board assemblage
Also at the event will be Sparkles face painting on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Kerry Patric Clark will be providing live entertainment on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
