Fifth Annual George Washington Bridge Walk to Raise Research Funds for Lung Disease
The James P. Mara Center for Lung Disease at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital and the NY/NJ Alpha-1 Foundation will hold the fifth annual George Washington Bridge Walk on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., beginning on the New Jersey side of the bridge in Ft. Lee, NJ. Alpha-1 is a hereditary condition that can lead to lung destruction and is often misdiagnosed as asthma or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). All funds raised will benefit the Alpha-1 Foundation for research and related programs for a cure. Registration is $25.00.
