Fibrations: Positive Elements December 21, 2009

Combine the words fiber and celebration and you have "Fibrations," a quilt challenge that encouraged quilters to remember the things that make them happy. "With so much of the current news focusing on negative issues," explains challenge creator Kathy Lichtendahl, "it seems appropriate to recognize the positive elements that surround us as well." The exhibit of joyful quilts was juried by well-known quilt artist Katie Pasquini Masopust and is sponsored by Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA).
