Williamsburg resident Laurin Wittig has been making a name for herself with historical romances set in the Highlands of Scotland. Her first book, "The Devil of Kilmartin," won the National Readers' Choice Award from the Romance Writers of America. Her next two books, "Charming the Shrew" and "Daring the Highlander" have received rave notices from Romance-genre reviewers. Dedicated to creating passionate romances with historically accurate details and descriptions, Wittig's writing evokes the stark landscape of the Highlands.
This year's Williamsburg Regional Library Festival of the Reader, titled "Authors in April," features Virginia authors speaking about their writing, reading from their books and signing copies. Friends of the Williamsburg Regional Library fund the festival.
