After the successful completion of its inaugural event in 2005, CHARINDAA is now pleased to announce its 2006 event. In August 2006, CHARINDAA will present a Festival of Indian Music in Australia, 2006 (FIMA 2006).
FIMA 2006 will feature both traditional and contemporary music genres and will showcase some of the biggest names in Indian music today. Through this first-of-a-kind festival in Australia, CHARINDAA will be presenting quality talent in Australia.
The events are:
Colonial Cousins: in an Indian-Pop-Jazz Fusion concert
Sanjay Subrahmanyan: in a South Indian Classical (Carnatic) vocal music concert
Hariharan: in a Ghazal concert
Dr N Ramani (Carnatic flute) and Dr N Rajam (Hindustani violin): in a Jugalbhandhi (Artistic Conversations) concert
