FestiFools has made it to Kindergarten! Now celebrating its Fifth Foolish Year, this wacky performance of oversized puppets will once more be entertaining thousands on Main Street in downtown Ann Arbor. Bring your own puppet creation, bring the little ones, bring your grandpa, and bring the kid inside you! Hundreds of creative volunteers from the Ann Arbor area and students from the University of Michigan have joined forces to put on this once-a-year spectacle. Dance in the streets to the back beat of Groove, one of U-M’s most irreverent and original percussion ensembles. To top it off, all this foolish fun is free, even parking! So come on down and dress up or don a crazy hat, and celebrate FestiFools’ Fabulous Fifth Anniversary on Sunday, April 3rd from 4:00-5:00 on Main St. between Washington and Williams (just follow the puppets!).
If all that fun leaves you hungry for more, follow your fellow fools to FestiFeast at the Aut Bar in Kerrytown post-FestiFools. For more information on how you can get involved, visit our website at http://www.festifools.org. FestiFools is a non-profit public art event sponsored by the University of Michigan, City of Ann Arbor, and generous civic, corporate, and private donors.
