On one hand, feral hogs are a huntable resource and a source of revenue and meat for landowners. On the other, they are an environmental nightmare. This workshop will explore the feral hog problem locally and around the world. Natural Resource Manager Rob Denkhaus will describe the extent of the problem, the reasons that it exists, and suggested solutions for North Texas. In addition to providing a thorough review of feral hog ecology, this workshop will describe the use of the primary tools of feral hog control; traps, baits, and game cameras. Pre-registration required.
