Tour the current dining exhibition at Dumbarton House after a lecture at Tudor Place by Michael Twitty on foods and cooking by slaves in Virginia and the National Capitol region in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The focus will be on the daily diet, times of celebration, and the influence of early Black chefs and food producers on the Founding Fathers and the culinary hallmarks of their day.
