Spend your school vacation at Habitat, exploring and learning about nature through the seasons. We offer programs for children grades K-3 for February March, and April school vacation weeks. Under the supervision of staff instructors, campers engage in environmental education activities, games, arts and crafts, and scientific experiments that focus on natural history. - - In February we offer 4 different days of nature exploration for children in grades K-3 (ages 5-9). Participants may sign up for one, two, three or all four days. - - Tuesday, February 22--Science Wonders - What is slime? How are bubbles formed? How does gravity work? Participate in scientific experiments that help us understand the world around us. - - Wednesday, February 23--Tracks and Traces - Discover whoooo's active at Habitat in the winter. Use your skills of observation to learn where animals are and what they are eating when it's cold outside. - - Thursday, February 24--Sweet Sap - Learn about maple sugaring through the years, from Native Americans to present day producers. Investigate how maple trees create this sweet sap and use it for their growth. - - Friday, February 25--Outdoor Creativity - Be inspired by nature!
