Inspired by the subtle affinity between colors and the
interplay of light and shadow, Judy Morgan’s show
“Capturing the Light” reveals her love of nature.

New Frontiers Natural Marketplace invites you view Judy Morgan’s
work during store hours.

In 2008 Judy and her husband relocated to Flagstaff from
Southern California. They were familiar with the area because
both daughters attended NAU and they loved the mountains.
It was also a great place for Judy to get back to her artistic
roots. Already an accomplished artist, Judy is inspired
by the subtle affinity between colors and the interplay of light
and shadow. Her current show at New Frontiers Natural
Marketplace reflects her love of the natural world and her
compelling colors and expressive brushwork evoke the feeling of place.

“Paintings are a moment in time that you happened to
capture and hopefully did that moment justice. And unlike
a photograph a painting is a window into that artist's soul
and seeing the world through their eyes,” says Ms. Morgan.

Judy has been drawing and painting for most of her life.
A fine arts major, she left college to get married. Judy continued
to paint and was happily influenced by a supportive mentor
in her twenties. Later in her professional career, Morgan took
up decorative art and for twenty years published, designed
and taught, working with artist agent. Judy now paints almost
everyday, because “you cannot get better if you don't practice,
practice, practice!”

Artwork displayed at New Frontiers will be displayed for a month.
The theme is “affordable” art and features original works of art and photography for under $250.
