The Arts House presents a smorgasbord of movies ranging from Eric Khoo's ground-breaking Mee Pok Man that brought Singapore film-making into international attention to the Singapore premiere of Icelandic director Dagur Kári's award winning debut feature of a teenage rebel loner, Noi Albinoi.
Also not to be missed is Twilight Samurai, winner of 12 awards (including Best Director and Best Picture) at the Japan Academy Awards and a nominee for Best Foreign Film at the 76th Academy Awards, this haunting work is a touching story of a man outcast by the changing times he lives in. Other festival highlights include Robert Altman's breathtaking tribute to the rigorous world of dance, The Company that features the Joffrey Ballet Company of Chicago in some of the most enchanting dance sequences ever filmed. Watch out for cameo appearances by two of the greatest choreographers in the world today: Lars Lubovitch and Robert Desrosiers.
