Join us for our special guest speaker for November! We are delighted to welcome FBI Agent Dave Dawson to the LGBT Community Center.

Since the Matthew Sheppard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act became law in 2009, the FBI and related federal agencies have targeted perpetrators of suspected hate crimes against LGBT individuals and others in an effort to promote justice. Additionally, recently instituted policies allow federal authorities to reach out to individuals and communities with training programs designed to dissolve the efforts of those that are at risk for becoming involved in hate-related behavior. We will have the pleasure of listening to Mr. Dawson relate how these crimes are investigated and what we can do to assist. You are invited to attend.
