Fate Knocks at the Door May 29, 2009

Beloved, popular and admired, Beethoven's Fifth Symphony is one of the greatest musical masterpieces of and for all time. Its psychological portrayal of fate knocking at the door to the final affirmation of human freedom and dignity is sublime. The full triumphal impact on the inner self can only be fully appreciated in live performance by a great orchestra enjoyed locally amongst friends and neighbors.

The concert will also feature star cellist Clark Pang Performing 1st. mvt. Dvorak's Cello Concerto with PCS

As first place winner of the Individualis International Competition in Ukraine and top prizewinner in MTNA's national competition, Clark made his Carnegie Hall-PBS television debut at ten, soloed with several symphony orchestras, performed at the Legion of Honor, Herbst Theater, and appeared on The Martha Stewart Show.
