Boulevard3 to host LA Fashion Week's premier fashion event; Fashion Minga this Friday, October 22nd.



"Minga" is an Ecuadorian term for "a community coming together to work for the benefit of all". Fashion Minga is a collaboration of designers, performers, and tastemakers coming together to celebrate the various components that inspire fashion: music, dance, color, shape and visual elements. The debut of Fashion Minga took place during the last day of LA's prestigious Fashion Week in October of 2009. Fashion Minga welcomed more than 1,300 guests, showcased seven up-and-coming designers, featured more than eight of the industry's hottest dance teams/performers, attracted numerous celebrities, generated top revenue numbers for Boulevard3; our host venue, and was covered by numerous media outlets. Fashion Minga is back in full-force for what is sure to be a night of trend-setting fashion, breath-taking performances, and an endless assortment of beautiful guests!

Fashion Minga is proud to have the fashion industries finest and most cutting-edge designer's exhibit on the Fashion Minga runway. Designers include: Urban Republic Clothing; a premium denim line inspired by contemporary and urban aesthetics (www.UrbanRepublicClothing.com). ONANONG Swimwear; ONANONG, which means "Bella," is a sexy, sophisticated, chic yet playful line of swimwear made to help women feel confident and stylish while at the beach or lounging pool-side (www.onanongswimwear.com). Fashion is not only inspired by the creative minds of the designers but also by the profound influence of art, music, and dance. Bella Circo; an Innovative Aerial Entertainment Company that specializes in creating new and original productions for special events (www.BellaCirco.com). FLiRT Dancers; more than just a dance "crew". Fashion Minga gives back; a portion of all proceed will be donated to Entertainment AIDS Alliance (EAA). EAA, the Entertainment AIDS Alliance, is an all-volunteer group of entertainment industry professionals which was formed in 1989 to respond to the urgent need for funding of AIDS service organizations nationwide. Over ninety percent of funds raised are distributed to qualifying AIDS health care organizations and facilities.
