Fashion Mash October 1, 2010

WHAT: Collaboraction and the Flat Iron Artists’ Association present the 1st annual Fashion Mash, a Mash-up of the Fashion, Art and Theatre of Wicker Park featuring a fashion flash mob, a collection of local boutiques and designers, fashion inspired art, performance art and more. The multi-layered event will begin in the Flat Iron Arts Building, 1579 N. Milwaukee and feature:

• At 6 pm fashion-inspired art will be exhibited for sale, boutiques will be selling items via trunk show and DJS, video and interactive fashion performances erupting throughout.
• The Tiny Cover Band will perform dance cover songs on toy instruments at 9pm in studio 336
• “Fashion Aquarium in the Collaboraction studio (3rd floor) featuring a live DJ, video/performance and a voyeur fashion prep lounge
• At 10 pm, Collaboraction will lead a Fashion Flash Mob Procession, to the entertainment of magic circus marching band Environmental Encroachment. Models will strut their way through the six corners using the pedestrian crosswalk as a runway, making it to Double Door for a bombastic fashion show that starts at 10:30 pm. Guests are encouraged to participate in the procession and bring digital cameras to assist in the "Flash" aspect.
• Isis Rose and the 4orty 5ives will perform at the after party at Debonair Social Club at 12am
The event is the Official "Welcome to Wicker Park Party" for Collaboraction, a 15 year old non-profit arts organization known for it's annual SKETCHBOOK Festival of short plays, visual art and music, as well it's contemporary theatre and multi-disciplinary and immersive events.
