The thirty-six costumes on exhibit in 'Fashion in Film: Period Costumes for the Screen' are on loan from, and most were made by, the London costume house, Cosprop Ltd. They illustrate the achievements of a behind-the-scenes partnership working to create an appropriate look for a film (or the screen) through the use of period attire. The curators here have chosen a varied selection of magnificent costumes, chronologically arranged (from early sixteenth to the mid-twentieth centuries) and worn by well-known actors in some of the most popular and successful period television and film productions of the last few decades.
