This event is to benefit Save the Children's Gulf Coast Hurricanes Recovery Fund In the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Save the Children is focusing on emotional healing and recovery for some of the more then 300,000 children who were forced from their homes. Combining its international and U.S. expertise, Save the Children is providing schools and communities with structured programs to restore children's sense of normality and safety, including drawing, music and cooperative games and activities. It is also expanding after-school programs that focus on literacy, physical activity and good health and nutrition. We are bringing home our global leadership in emergency response for children, drawing on our nearly 75 years of helping children in some of America's poorest places.
