Friday, October 26, 2007 at the Carnegie Library, marks the 3rd Annual Fashion Fights Poverty couture benefit; an evening headlining socially conscious designers and artisans from the world of fashion. As part of the United Nations’ week-long 62st Anniversary celebration, FFP will feature on-site shopping suites, silent auction and catwalk presentation from international and national established and emerging designers. This year’s Fashion Fights Poverty beneficiary is Aid to Artisans, a non-profit organization, offers practical assistance to artisan groups worldwide, working in partnership to foster artistic traditions, cultural vitality, improved livelihoods and community well-being.
Join us as we celebrate and acknowledge the efforts of fashion forward designers and artisans who look beyond the runway and into the communities of people who make the fashions we in the public can’t live without.
The time is now for fashion to make a statement!
