Farmers Market Celebration July 25, 2010

Buying fresh and local is truly something to celebrate, so in honor of the Sunday Farmers Markets’ fourth anniversary we’re throwing a party – and you’re invited!

Enjoy live music, and treat yourself to henna tattoos, massage, and get your picture taken in the photo booth provided by Louisville Photographic Booth Company.

Visit with non-profit grassroot organizations such as Slow Food Bluegrass, EarthSave and the Sierra Club. Kids can enjoy craft activities courtesy of the Olmsted Parks Conservancy, and story time with Barefoot Books.

And don’t miss our own Iron Chef-like cook-off! See two local chefs face off as they endeavor to create the winning “Market Meal” using fresh, local ingredients from the days Farmers Market. Guest judges, including Louisville HotBytes’ Robin Garr, will be on hand to pick the winner of this tasty event.
