Featured in the exhibition are four functional chairs called AHMA or Shalom Bat chairs. These chairs are one of eleven projects undertaken by Kahn in commemoration of his mother. They connect with the ritual ceremony of welcoming and naming a baby girl into a Jewish family. In this workshop, families will create a miniature sculptural chair that commemorates a significant family event or honors the life of a loved one.
