Family Sweethearts Dance February 14, 2009

The Community Church of Atascadero United Church of Christ, 5850 Rosario Ave., Atascadero, will host its first-ever Family Sweethearts Dance in the church’s fellowship hall on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. The dance is open to people of all ages.
D.J. Groovy D. will provide music from the ‘40s through today. For those who don’t dance, come enjoy the music, the refreshments, and sit and watch clips from dance movies with stars such as Fred and Ginger to John Travolta.
Sweethearts will have the chance to have their photo taken in the kissing booth. The dance will also include short dance instruction of various swing and ballroom dances throughout the evening.
The dance is a fundraiser for the church and an affordable night out for Valentine’s Day for the entire family. Tickets for the event, available in advance or at the door are $10 for adults, $15 for couples, $5 for teens and free for those 12 and younger.
