Family Service Agency of San Mateo County’s Senior Services Division welcomes family caregivers, professional service providers and other community members to a free workshop about Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) aging issues. The workshop, which will be held on May 14th, will cover and include: LGBT aging issues; new legislation that requires LGBT cultural competency training; a panel of LBGT seniors sharing their stories; best practices about how to best serve and reach LGBT seniors; and a question and answer session. The workshop is generously funded by San Mateo County Aging and Adult Services with training and materials provided by Spectrum LGBT Center of San Anselmo. Space is limited.
