Family-Friendly BBQ with City Provisions at Dietzler Farms October 2, 2010

As part of its overall mission, City Provisions strives to educate its customers and bring them closer to the origin of their food—and that includes the kids!

City Provisions will host a family-friendly farm Barbeque on October 2nd at Dietzler Farms in Elkhorn, WI with New Holland Brewery. City Provisions will provide detailed instructions to simplify finding the farm.

Tickets are $50 per adult and $20 for kids under 12 and include food and drinks, and tour of the farm.

Tax and tip are also included.

About City Provisions
Owner Cleetus Friedman began City Provisions with the hope of sharing his knack for making any event spectacular with clients who shared in his enthusiasm for delicious food and fantastic customer service. As the premiere catering and events company for the conscious-minded and beyond, its unique offerings include a farm-to-fork Supper Club/Farm Dinner series (patrons board a biodiesel bus and eat a five-course meal at a local farm, meet the farmers, tour the farm and learn about food from the ground up—all part of Friedman’s educational mission).
City Provisions is part of The Green Chicago Restaurant Co-Op, an organization that strives to use products and standard practices that are more eco-friendly and create less of carbon footprint on the planet. Friedman has made a conscious choice to ban Styrofoam, use corn and potato based disposables (when necessary), following a strict recycling program and using local farmers and purveyors for the freshest ingredients in his recipes.
While the Deli, and really everything City Provisions does, keeps the environment in mind, the company does not lose sight of the individual. Many patrons have turned into friends and more than that, had their passion for sustainable living ignited by City Provisions’ practices and dedication to every aspect of the business.
