This comic opera by Guiseppe Verdi is a tale of love, jealousy, confusion and laughter filled with plot twists and turns. The lead character, Sir John Falstaff, convinces all that harmony and joy are the best sustenance in life. The opera is based on Shakespeare's play, 'The Merry Wives of Windsor', and scenes from 'Henry IV'.
