WHAT: FALLING INTO THE ARTS

The Marin Arts Council and Friends of Marin Center invites the public to a fundraiser event benefiting TeamWorks, a Marin organization which keeps arts accessible to youth in Marin.
The exhibit features collaborative works by students under the direction of teachers from the Marin Arts TeamWorks, a program which provides arts classes and mentoring opportunities to at-risk teens.
The event from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010 includes food, music and art. Appetizers and wine will be served by An Affair to Remember Catering and Bogie Cafe. Live music will be performed by Lau Paiva & Brian Byrnes, Volker Strifler and Kurt Huget. The Marin Arts Council Gallery exhibit features the collaborative works of students & teachers of the Marin Arts TeamWorks program, which provides art classes and mentoring opportunities to at-risk teens.

The Marin Arts Council coordinates revolving arts exhibits at the Civic Center Galleries, the Marin Center Redwood Foyer, the Marin Community Foundation offices and at its downtown San Rafael location at 906 Fourth Street.
