Friday, February 13th - Sunday, February 15th
Feral Friends will be hosting our Valentine’s Adoption Weekend Feb. 13-15. During this three-day event, PetSmart associates will assist PetSmart Charities Adoption Partners and new Pet Parents in the cause of saving homeless pets. The National PetSmart Charities Adoption program assisted in finding homes for more than 400,000 pets last year. We hope to find homes for all of our furry friends through this adoption weekend.
Each PetSmart location partners with a canine and feline non-profit organization. The Coit and Campbell location in Richardson will be working with Feral Friends Community Cat Alliance to adopt out cats and kittens and with Animal Guardians and the Richardson Humane Society to adopt out puppies and dogs.
If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten, Feral Friends will hold their adoptions at PetSmart located at 16821 Coit Rd. (Coit & Campbell) in Richardson:
Friday, February 13th 4:00 – 8:00
Saturday, February 14th 10:00 – 5:00
Sunday, February 15th 12:00 – 4:00
On Saturday, Valentine’s Day, Feral Friends will have kid-friendly Valentine crafts, face painting and treats. There will also be a door prize drawing to win dinner for two. Please come visit us and give a homeless cat or kitten a forever home with a loving family.
Feral Friends’ adoptable cats and kittens have been rescued from abandoned and homeless situations. Although many have been found after straying into feral colonies, they are domesticated and well socialized. They live in homes with foster parents and, much of the time, with other cats, children and even dogs. All Feral Friends cats are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, rabies and FVRCP vaccinated and FIV/FeLV tested. A 30-day pet insurance policy is provided with each adopted cat or kitten.
At Feral Friends, our mission is to actively assist the community in reducing feline overpopulation.
To accomplish this mission, we have two vital programs that work in unison to offer assistance to the cats and kittens of our community, Race to Reduce Litters (feral) and Rescue and Re-Home. We also offer tips and assistance to those whom have lost their pets.
We are currently looking for volunteers to assist in cage cleaning, kitty laundry, adoptions and fostering. For more information about Feral Friends Community Cat Alliance or to make an online donation, please visit www.feralfriends.org, e-mail info@feralfriends.org or call 972-671-0429.
