Fall Harvest: Medicinal Roots, Barks and Fruits of California November 7, 2009

Join in a one-day gardening workshop to explore the array of medicinal biennial and perennial plants found growing throughout California, with an emphasis on those native to the Bay Area. Topics of discussion will include: identifying characteristics, medicinal uses, sustainable harvesting techniques, as well as various preparation methods. The morning session will consist of a lecture/slideshow, and in the afternoon participants will tour the Botanical Garden to observe live plant specimens.
