DANCE WORKSHOPS
English Country Dance (Saturday at 12:30) Mitchell Frey teaches “contra dances” from the 17th century
Introduction to Belly Dance (Saturday at 1:30) with Nizana.
Japanese Bon Odori Dance – (Saturday 2:15-2:45) Japanese students from Mukogawa Ft. Wright Institute will demonstrate and share dances
Family Dance (Saturday 2:30) with Susan Dankovich - easy American and International dance with live music for the whole family.
International Folk Dance (Saturday at 3:30.) with Karen Wilson-Bell – easy folk dances from around the world – Fun for all ages
South and East Indian Folk Dance. (Saturday at 4:30 p.m.) Sree Nandagopal has organized a program featuring a South Indian classical dance followed by a demo and teaching of a Bollywood dance and a traditional stick dance.
New England Contra Dance Workshop (Saturday at 7:30, Sunday 3) Learn the basics of this community dance tradition that has been bringing communities together in New England for hundreds of years and has spread across the country
Square Dance (Sunday 1 p.m.) with the Valley Crosstrailers Square Dance Club. Demonstration and participatory dance
