Las Cruces, NM – The Branigan Cultural Center proudly presents Fall 2009 Cultural Connections Fair on Friday, October 2nd, as part of the First Friday Ramble from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Area arts and culture non-profit organizations will be on hand to promote their programming, activities in the community, membership, upcoming events, and volunteering opportunities. The Fair is a great opportunity for the community to make connections with a variety of organizations. It also provides a venue for organizations to tell the community about themselves.
Arts organizations participating include Las Cruces Arts Association, ArtForms, Talking Stick Institute, City of Artists Professionals Association, and Alma d’Arte Charter School. Music and Theater groups attending are the Rio Grande Chapter of American Recorder Society, Celestial Sounds, Las Cruces International Mariachi Conference, Las Cruces Civic Concert Association, American Southwest Theater Company, and A Children’s Theater of Mesilla Valley.
Additional organizations participating are the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro Trail Association, Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, Miniature Makers of Las Cruces, Dona Ana County Genealogical Society, Las Cruces Chapter of the American Sewing Guild, GFWC Progress Club, New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum and the Foundation for Las Cruces Museums.
The Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main Street, is located at the north end of the Downtown Mall in Las Cruces. The Cultural Connections Fair and First Friday Ramble are free and open to the public.
