Fall Color 5K Run and Walk at The Morton Arboretum October 2, 2011

Fill your lungs with fresh Arboretum air! The “Fall Color 5K Run and Walk” is a challenging race for your legs and a scenic show for your eyes. Runners race up Frost Hill, along Crabapple Lake to the second alternative, before pulling in the final stretch along the Appalachia and Asian Collections on this USATF-certified course. Kids even get their own race, the “Kids Dash.” Afterwards refuel at the Ginkgo Restaurant with a specially –priced post race pancake breakfast. Various distances offered for budding runners ages 2 to 10 years. Race costs $30 in advance; $35 day of race (discounts for Arboretum members). Kids Dash $12 in advance; $15 day of race. Visitor Center Area.
