Don’t forget to sign up for fall art classes at the Las Cruces Museum of Art! Registration for the second fall session (October 27 through December 15th) is open now. Adults can embrace their artistic side through a variety of classes, such as drawing, acrylic or classical oil painting, and 3-dimensional design. Learn a new skill through classes devoted to weaving, digital photography, or ceramics. Art classes are a great way to relax, have fun, and meet new people. Spaces are limited.
For the artists of tomorrow, the Las Cruces Museum of Art offers both youth ceramics classes and a mixed media class for ages 6 to 8. Ceramics classes accommodate age groups 6 to 8 and 9 to 12. The Art-o-Rific Mixed Media class is an exploration of drawing, painting, and block printing, with a contemporary view. Projects will be inspired by famous painters from history. Art supplies are included in the tuition for children’s classes.
For more information on Studio Program art classes, please call (575) 541-2137 or visit the website http://museums.las-cruces.org. Please be aware that tuition is due in full at the time of registration. Funded by the City of Las Cruces, the Las Cruces Museum of Art is located at 491 N. Main Street, at the north end of the downtown mall.
