When members of the Music Department Performing Faculty perform on the Concert Series, it is an opportunity to share their skills as performers with the Wellesley College community and beyond.
Each semester, one member of the performing faculty is invited to give a solo performance on the series. This semester, Doug Johnson has been selected. Doug is an extremely talented jazz pianist who has performed all over the world with leading artists. He is on faculty at Wellesley College as well as at the Berklee College of Music. He has been an artist in residence at the Banff Festival in Canada and at the Sandpoint Festival with Gunther Schuller. A regular pianist at the Bristol Lounge for many years, his repertoire ranges from classics from the "Great American Songbook" to Latin tunes.
